Artwork being created by me, Rosco "Carrico" Crooke

Working on another colorful original painting well into the late hours of the night. Painting is so freeing!!!

Creating multidimensional paintings

By using glow in the dark and neon paints I'm able to create multidimensional paintings. They look beautiful in regular light, soft and glowing when the lights go out, and as if they were from another place and time when the black light hits them.

Gallery picture of a couple pieces under black light.

I was so honored by all the people that came to my first gallery opening. People referred to the pieces as "beautiful" and "magical." God is good!

I love watching these paintings come to life!

If you'll let some creativity into your life, you might find yourself closer to chasing down your dreams.

Sometimes you gotta wear a pirate hat :)

This is the Post Apocalyptic Pirate Rock Star Hat created by my great friend and artist Jason Smith of MacGowan Metals. I love wearing this thing! lol

Cell of primal passion

When I think of a single cell of primal passion this is what enters my head. I couldn't get this image out of my mind and so I grabbed some great paints and got started. This piece looks great in low light and great under black light as well. It also glows in the dark.

The Tree of doubt

The Tree of doubt is all about how doubt holds you down and doesn't let you grow at all. Doubt makes you stand still and walk in darkness, it's power is very great and it takes a hold of people all the time. You'll never stretch your arms and go after your dreams if you hold onto doubt.

Bereaved

After the death of my mother Donna Crooke I was looking for a way to reflect on her life and find some comfort. This painting was inside me when I realized that all the loss she suffered was a big part of what made her such an amazing woman. It's part of why she helped so many people and took so many people into her home no matter what.

Inside the childlike mind

When I think about what a childlike mind looks like this is exactly what I see. Never lose your childlikeness, it's what pushes your creativity.

Art is fresh air and new ideas to revitalize the mind and soul, in order to bring strength to the heart.
